Super Simple Pricing Explained
We’re calling it “Super Simple Pricing,” and while it’s meant to simplify the rules and regulations, it’s a big policy change, and there are a few things you should know:
1. Super Simple Pricing comes into effect for May 2014, with a flat $15/hour rate for licensed, education childcare whenever you need it – but we’re giving current members a sneak peek! The prices have already been adjusted to reflect the coming change. You’re going to love it!
2. We’re introducing a $60 automatically-withdrawn monthly membership fee, equivalent to the Hold My Spot option, with all the same properties:
It keeps your membership active and provides you with access to our services and centre.
To cancel, simply fill in the Cancellation Form (from the Forms Sections of our website) before the 15th of your last month and return your key cards. We will no longer be charging a deposit for the swipe cards. Paid deposits can be put toward April snack invoices and/or May’s membership fee.
3. With an active account, you can buy any multiple of 5 hours, for the flat $15/hour rate – with no monthly minimums, purchase deadlines, or punitive pricing for small packages. Mix and match the 5, 10, and 25 hour blocks to get the number of hours you need. Buy them all at the beginning of the month, or in smaller batches as you know your needs – now it’s up to you!
4. The new package prices, including the membership fee, are almost the same as with the old system. Most notably, the 24 hour package price is increasing, due to the fact that it was not in line with the others, in the first place. The monthly price for 40 hours will not change at all, and the monthly price for 10 hours will increase by $10.
Are you a chart person?
| Package Options | Hold My Spot | 10 Hours | 24 Hours | 40 Hours | |
| Old Price | $60 | $200 | $400 | $660 | |
| Super Simple Pricing | $60 | $60 + (10 x $15) = $210 | $60 + (24 x $15) = $435 | $60 + (40 x $15) = $660 | |
| Difference, if any | None | $10 | $35 | None |
5. We’re introducing Quarterly Snack Invoicing, getting rid of late fees, and revamping our roll-over rules. Plus, we have a new “Extra Safe Feet” policy, where children will wear shoes or slippers at all times in the centre.
It’s a lot to take in all at once, but our new handbook is available for your browsing pleasure, and we’ll be talking to you about all the changes as we collect your consent and credit card authorization forms in the next couple of weeks. You can find the handbook, and all the forms on our website, and if you have any questions that are not answered here or in the handbook, we’d be pleased to answer them. Updates to the website How it Works, FAQ, and Policies sections are all under way and will be completed soon.
Once we get through the change-over, we truly believe that this model will be simpler for everyone, while allowing us to better meet your needs. Thank you so much for your patronage, and for all your support as we learn and develop our service model.
