So grown up!

This month, we’ve seen a serious drop in the number of hours our regular buddies are in the centre, due to summer holidays. On the other hand, we’ve had several of our recent graduates returning, now that their preschools are closed for the summer. It is amazing to see how much they’ve grown and developed in the couple of months since they’ve been gone.

We couldn’t be more happy to welcome them back!

When my girl Kaitlyn used to tell me stories, with huge gesticulations and elaborate explanations, I was always sure that the nonsense babbling that was flowing out of her would someday be the most interesting stories and descriptions of everything she sees and does. And I was right! When she came in yesterday for her first visit since the winter, her characteristic hand waving, and long stretches of non-stop words were still firmly in place, but now, I understood every word! Her brother, and her grandmother, and the stories about her house, and the toys she has at home. I was awestruck.

I listened with my hands over my mouth to hide my surprise for the first several minutes, but it soon wore off. By the time the second or third hour in her company rolled around, I had adjusted to her new skill and my mind was no longer blown by all her words and fluency. Gobind Singh and Olivia, Makena and Kaitlyn have all gotten so big!

With the widest age range possible for a licensed childcare centre, Buddings is proud to be here when families need us, whether it’s for a month, a whole year, or off and on for as long as you want! We are a monthly membership, though, and if families want to keep their spaces with us, it’s important to keep the account active.

Our 6-Month Membership option was created for families’ like Kaitlyn’s, to keep the account open, with a small number of hours to keep memories fresh, and the option of buying hours whenever you do need them. It’s an easier way to prevent the account from going into “lapsed” mode when you’re not using it regularly, and means you won’t incur the $200 reactivation fee, when you do want to come back. Just a thought. If you have questions or want to join the 6-Month Membership, please get in touch. 🙂
