On Friday the Big Kids went on a “Listening Walk Fieldtrip”.

The Big Kids, accompanied by Jen and Talia, walked to the VGH Energy Park, a really great park with a playground, big tall metal poles to bang on, a grassy field of flowers, and a pond (but on this day the pond was dry!) On our walk we heard many different sounds; cars, bikes, garbage trucks that honked their big horns, birds, the big fan, the crosswalk tweet signal, and a back-hoe that followed us up the street. It was an exciting walk.
When we got to the park, we had a treasure hunt for our snack and then happily snacked on our popcorn. There was lots of time to play games with Mr. Chicken (our rubber chicken) and to have fun at the playground.
The weather was sunny and warm which made for a great day! Looking forward to our “Puddle Jump Fieldtrip” on April 30th!
Yay Big Kids!
