Kids We Love: Isabel and Moo

Isabel always puts a smile on her teachers’ faces the moment we see her coming through the green gate during toddler mornings. Every time she comes in, she swaddles a purple cat named “Moo” tight in her arms, and bashfully greets her Buddings teachers as she says “Bye!” and “I’ll see you later!” to grandma.

Despite the sadness she has in her eyes to see grandma go for a little while, she recovers right away as she jumps enthusiastically into the first activity that catches her attention. Not only does she participate in all morning activities, she is in the front row as we call all the friends in for some fun!

When we read books, she is always the first to have an arm full of book suggestions for the teachers to read as she expresses “Let’s read a book!” in the most articulate, and most adorable way! And when we sing songs, we will find her to be the most audible and enthusiastic singer. Even when it is time to go “pee, pee, pee!” we hardly ever have to ask her twice, and when we do it is only because she is too busy having loads of fun!

She’s an adventurous spirit who loves to go on walks, and her bright personality makes her popular with the kids, as well as the teachers. Her best friend Johan lights up when he sees her, and the two of them quickly find a game to play.

By the end of Isabel’s day, Moo has gone missing, lost in the enjoyment of her time at Buddings. The forgotten Moo is hiding somewhere in the centre, waiting for Isabel to find him. As they head home, he’s safe in her arms again, and their adventure continues out in the world.

See you next time, Isabel!
