Mystery Project
It’s going to be tough having kids come and go throughout the day. Everyone keeps telling us that, and as difficult as it will be, we’re preparing for it. That’s part of the concept after all.
So what can we do to make sure that the consistency that kids thrive on is in place? Great question…
For one thing, all our staff are full time. That means that even if the kids are changing up every day/week/hour, you’ll always find Lawrence, Jenny and me working away.
Your kids are going to love Jenny and Lawrence! Jenny, because she’s an amazing creative-type who’s always looking for ways to spark imagination, and Lawrence because, well, he’s a guy. Kids always love the guys. He’s also a great educator and has a talent for bringing kids together, but mostly, he’s a guy and he loves to “see what will happen.”
Another cool thing that will make kids feel comfortable at Buddings, even if they’re not here very often, is track progress on our on-going projects online.
At our last staff meeting, I asked each of them to think about their “Project.” This will be a task or challenge or question or quest that we’re undertaking and updates will be posted on the School Projects page of the website. (Updates will start once we open.)
In cleaning the house for our move last week, I figured out what mine will be! Of course, I’m not telling yet. It’s a surprise. Lawrence has almost decided on his as well, and I’m excited to find out what Jenny will take on. Should be lots of fun!
