Chinatown here we go!
Last Friday we had a very exciting field trip! This time we went to Chinatown to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. We took the 17th bus to get there. When we got off the bus we did a little bit of walking until we got to the big, colorful entrance of Chinatown. Next to the entrance were some Really cool lion statues. We asked them if they could let us in and they were really nice and said yes.
On our way to the garden we stopped to take a look at a huge, old bell. We loved the fact that the bell was so big and different from other bells we had seen before and so we took a picture with it.
After that, we read a letter from Budding the alien, he wanted to know about our fieldtrip and what sort of things could be found in a Chinese garden. It seems like he is really happy with all the letters we have been sending him, which explain a little bit more about planet earth.
As soon as we entered the garden, everyone took a look at the big pond and we talk about the plants that were growing in it. We saw some really cool and colorful koi fishes.
We were surprised when we saw how big they were. They are so much bigger than the ones we have at buddings!
Next, we walked to a nice space next to the pond to have some water, oranges and our special cinnamon muffins. Johanna read a story to remind everyone why is it important to stay together and hold hands when we are on fieldtrips.
We were really lucky to find a cool magician from England that performed some magic tricks for us.
Before leaving we stopped at the mall and we found a small playroom full of exciting toys.
When we got back to buddings we all sat together and talked about what we had seen. Everyone had a turn and we used the gong everytime someone wanted to share something.
What a great adventure we had!
