We took along some kites the kids had crafted at Buddings last Friday and set out to find a big sunny field to fly them in. Luckily the wind cooperated and the kites were able to sail off the grass into the sky. The park also had a great playground!
Taking the bus to get to the park and was also a fun adventure! We took the #9 along Broadway and met a nice bus driver named Mike, and lots of friendly transit riders. The kids really enjoyed the experience of taking transit. There was much excitement as they felt the bus speed up and slow down, observed people getting on and off the bus, and watched the world go by out the windows. It was a sunny fun-filled day and the kids were full of stories when we got back. Look out for Zak’s story about this trip posted in the front foyer at Buddings.
As you can tell, we love going on fieldtrips! This summer at Buddings we will be going on a different fieldtrip every week, exploring Metro Vancouver in the Big Kids Abroad fieldtrip Program. The trips are open to all kids aged 3-5 and are bound to be full of adventure and fun! Check out the Big Kids Abroad post for more details.
