Fantasy Hockey League

It’s finally here! The 2013/14 Hockey season is about to start, and I’m going to take a stab at running a Fantasy Hockey League!

Over the summer, I’ve been trying to figure out how to launch a fund-raising campaign and after much consideration, I think I’ve found a way to combine the two things I love, Buddings and hockey. If you, or someone you know, is interested in the NHL, and free childcare, this is the league for you!

To start it off, the first 10 people who join my league will have a chance to win 10 hours of free daycare. As we go along, I’ll be talking to members, families, and the community for ideas and suggestions of other exciting member prizes.

It’s all going to run through Yahoo’s Fantasy Sport Leagues (the rules and how it works are all very easy to understand), and everything is free! To make it more community oriented, I’ll also be hosting some family-friendly game-day parties for participating members. You may not have noticed it, but Buddings is fully equipped, with a ceiling mounted projector, tonnes of seating, and a fridge, to keep our game-day drinks cold.

The first crack at the draft will take place on Wednesday Oct. 2 at 8pm. Again, the first 10 members will be entered to a draw for 10 free hours at Buddings and there is a limit of 20 members so ACT NOW!
