Welcome Aboard to Jenny Bachhuber!

Everyone is going to love our new Curriculum Manager and Daycare Supervisor Jenny Bachhuber! She comes to us with over 6 years of experience in childcare and a 5 year ECE License to Practice in BC, as well as a Honors Degree in Psychology. She’s already begun working, getting her creativity cap on and thinking about all the fun activities and exploration Buddings will offer.

Watch This Week At Buddings for updates on Jenny’s progress  creating a monthly plan incorporating predictable themes and a variety of experiences to explore our world, including: cooking with children, science, free play, art projects, learning about and practicing sustainability, bringing the outdoors inside, music and movement, dramatic play, story-telling, yoga and supporting cultural awareness.

Jenny is passionate and experienced in embracing the Emergent Curriculum style and considers unconditional positive regard for children and families her primary responsibility. In order to ensure that children in her care are happy, healthy and enjoying their learning experiences, she is planning a predictable and well-organized, safe and respectful environment that will nourish healthy bonds and cultivate strong trusting adult-child and peer relationships. Children will be encouraged to share who they are and what they enjoy under the guidance of dedicated, receptive Early Childhood Educators.

The centre is coming along and we’re counting down the days until our planned Oct. 3, start date, but everyone is wishing us well, and even though it’s going to be a hectic build, I still think we can do it! So far…
